Feds Admit No Evidence Tsarnaev Brothers Involved in the Slayings December 11, 2014
Within weeks of the bombing on Boylston Street, law enforcement officials confidently proclaimed they had a “growing” amount of “forensic evidence,” along with a written confession from a now-dead friend of Tamerlan’s, that implicated Tamerlan in the Waltham slaying. But now, the government admits that, other than the confession, it “has no evidence that Tamerlan Tsarnaev actually participated in the Waltham murders.”
AnonymousDanny’s testimony got the same treatment.
Boston’s police commissioner Edward Davis said, “It was his (Collier’s) death that ultimately led to the apprehension. The report of the shot officer led to all those resources being poured in.” Collier’s murder was linked to the Boston Marathon bombing based on the assertions of anonymous carjacking victim “Danny.” He claimed the elder Tsarnaev told him they were responsible for both the bombing and the officer’s murder.
